Medium type of day

Today was a medium type of day. Do you ever have those? Not bad but not good either. Today was one of those. There are many things I could complain about:

- The leak in the bathroom still isn't fixed
- Everyone seems to be involved in a show except me
- No day off this week
- Zit on my chin
- A little bit of a sore throat
- My company is not in a good place right now: mentally, spiritually, financially....
- 1,000 more reasons.....

But I spoke with a friend who was not doing so well, and it wasn't just 'zit on the chin', it was ouch! And you know what, my heart hurt for my friend. I felt so sorry for the current position they were in. I really was put in my place a little bit and I think that that was exactly what God wanted. I had to see my position through someone else's eyes. No matter where we are, there is always someone out there that has it worst, right? 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." How humbling is that? My problems just don't seem that significant now.
