How was everyone's Easter? I hope that it was filled with the perfect mixture of relaxation and family fellowship. Bergstrom and I worked all day Saturday but had Sunday off. I was so looking forward to church, my Dr. Pepper and Easter with my family.
I've never practiced Lent before but, for some reason, decided to give up soda for Lent. I'm not, necessarily, addicted to soda, or even caffeine, but knew I probably drink too much of it, so I gave it up for 40 days. It was nice finally getting to drink my Dr. Pepper.
Then around 2 p.m. we went up to see the fam. I knew my mother was going to have goodies for us because she ALWAYS does: Birthdays, Valentine's, Halloween, you name it! So, as we were sitting there in the living room talking and watching Dukes of Hazard (don't ask), she threw an egg at all three of us. In the egg was a clue that led to another egg, then another, then another...
I think my parents got so much pleasure watching us looking for the eggs. After the second clue I think I shouted, "Jason we need to have children so that they don't make us do this next year!" It was fun, though. My parents were super sweet to do it, and plus, it resulted it getting a bag full of candy.
Your outburst was the intended result. Parents are always anxious to become grandparents after they become "in-laws".
